Membership of the HRG ASSOCIATION is open to Owners of HRG cars manufactured by the HRG Engineering Company between the years 1935-1966, while Associate Membership is open to those who no longer own, or wish to own an HRG car
Members take part in various competitive activities, including racing, rallies and trials, frequently with success and the Association supports their efforts with awards, almost all of which have been presented by notable past drivers. There is, however, no pressure on members to use their cars in competition and social meetings, either on a local or national level, are organised in the UK and other countries.
A quarterly Gazette, to which readers are encouraged to contribute, is sent to all members and associate members and other information is published, including an update of the original maintenance handbook issued by the factory and lists of current spare parts in stock. A history of the marque “HRG: The Sportsman’s Ideal” is also available.
For over half a century, the HRG Association has endeavoured to carry out its operations in the very personal manner employed by the directors and staff of the HRG Company. All owners, both in the UK and overseas are eligible to join and a very large percentage are members, as are past members of the company staff. Many ex-owners retain their membership and associate members are also welcomed, especially those looking to purchase a HRG.
