H.R.G cars are eligible for many historic motorsport events across a wide range of motorsport disciplines including trials, auto tests, speeds events (sprints and hill climbs), rallies (both national and international) and circuit racing. The pre-war built cars are eligible for most pre-war events organised by the Vintage Sport Car Club (VSCC) and Motor Racing Legends in the UK. H.R.G cars been seen on events ranging from the MCC’s famous Land’s End and Exeter Trials, at the Silverstone Classic race meeting, Classic Le Mans race meeting, the Spa 6 hours race meeting, on the Endurance Rally Association’s Flying Scotsman and Alpine Rally and at several other events in Europe and the US.
The HRG company exported some 60 cars to over a dozen countries throughout the world, mostly in the 1940’s and 50’s. Many of these achieved notable competition success. Today, there are nearly 100 HRG owners overseas; most are Association members. The cars still compete in events, such as those run by VSCC of America, also in Australia, New Zealand and several European countries, including national and international classic car rallies and in retrospectives, such as the Mille Miglia and Targa Florio.
